From the artist:
Geometry is a musical concept that represents the convergence of physical forms in space as sound – both their tension and cooperation. Intersecting rhythms and melodies of large and uneven numbers of beats are woven into each other, creating beautiful rippling textures. Live recording and processing adds another sound element. This work is heavily influenced by 20th century minimalist and geometric artists such as Agnes Martin, Sol LeWitt, Frank Stella, and Joseph Albers as well as contemporary artists like Angela Johal (who provided the art for the album) and many others. Musical inspirations come from classical minimalists such as Steve Reich and Meredith Monk, gyil music and drumming of West Africa, and electronic artists from the Buchla tradition like Suzanne Ciani, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and Morton Subotnick.
Geometry represents an ideal concept, moment, or object. A sense of satisfaction and ease that is elusive in a modern world. When everything fits together. Being at the right place at the right time. Thoughts swirling in chaos and only possibly coming together into perfect synchronicity.
